Groundbreaking country music legend Loretta Lynn is going to take the stage in the Rose City.

The voice behind 'Coal Miner's Daughter' and 'After the Fire is Gone' is set to perform on Friday, Oct. 16, at Caldwell Auditorium in Tyler.

Lynn is well-known for being one of the first women to break through in the country music industry, and her songs were never ones to shy away from social issues at the time.

Her biggest song, 'Coal Miner's Daughter,' inspired her autobiography and an Oscar-winning movie. She has released 60 albums, 10 of which reached No. 1 on the charts.

She was named 'Artist of the Decade' for the 1970s by the Academy of Country Music and was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 1988. She was also awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by Barack Obama in 2013.

Tickets are on sale now right here. VIP tickets are $60, reserved floor seats are $50 and balcony seats are $45.
