The 10 Cities You’re Most Likely to Lose Your Cell Phone in and More Surprising Missing-Mobile Facts
Many of us are so beholden to our cellphones that having one go missing makes us want to put an ad on a milk carton.
In this nifty infographic, mobile security firm Lookout reveals the cities and scenarios under which people most often lose their phones — and the likelihood of getting one back unscathed if it happens.
According to Lookout’s data, most of us don’t password-protect our phones, and about half of the residents of Miami and New York have either lost one or had it stolen. If you do lose track of your digital appendage, the friendly folks working in restaurants or at airport security are the most likely to return it to you.
But whatever you do, keep your little one away from water. No matter how good a phone-parent you are, you probably haven’t had time to teach it to swim.
