Love Under the Stars Returns to Tyler Junior College

Love Under the Stars is back at Tyler Junior College this February.

Hosted at the Hudnall Planetarium on the campus of TJC, attendees experience live music, cocktails, snacks and stories of love in the stars at this special event.

After years of poking and prodding, suggesting and nudging, I finally told my husband that I wanted to go to the event last year. He actually agreed, though grudgingly. He kept an open mind and after a few glasses of wine seemed to really enjoy himself.

It was a cloudy evening, so we weren't able to view the actual night sky through the telescope, but the program within the dome was really interesting. It showed the various constellations currently over head, and described the tales of each one, and the love stories that are associated with pairs throughout the sky.

Most of them trace back to legends in Greek mythology. If you're on the fence about whether or not to go, I would say go for it! It's definitely a change of pace from a traditional dinner out!

You've got two opportunities to see it, Friday, Feb. 8 and Saturday, Feb. 9. I recommend getting tickets early as it could sell out.
