Here's your multiple choice question of the day:

You've just been apprehended for allegedly stealing two 30-packs of beer and the officer has advised you to wait patiently as backup arrives.

What should you do while you wait?

  1. Sit down with your chin to your chest, contemplating the error of your ways.
  2. Ditch the beer and make a mad dash for freedom.
  3. Offer the officer a bribe, like, maybe a 30 pack of beer.
  4. It's blazing hot outside, you're in trouble already, pop open a cold one...or several.

According to the report from the Lufkin Police Department, the suspect chose answer number 4.

"An officer arrested Thaddeus Woods, 36, after he walked out of HEB with two 30-packs of Bud Ice. The officer spotted Woods walking down a railroad track near the store, beer still in hand. After the officer told Woods to stop, Woods sat down and started drinking beers. Woods apparently drank five beers before another officer arrived and Woods was taken into custody and charged with theft."
