It's prom season in East Texas. Maybe you haven't found a dress yet, or you want something that will make jaws drop. If you are in one of these boats, we have a solution. Just make a prom dress out of duct tape. Yes, duct tape. Well, Duck®Brand is giving those who do use their duct tape to create the dress of their dreams a chance to win a $5000 scholarship.

Duck®Brand is currently accepting entry's for their "Stuck at Prom" college scholarship. This scholarship doesn't require an essay or SAT Scores. The only thing it requires is creativity and a whole lot of their duct tape. This scholarship has drawn in thousands of entries over the years, and the competition just gets better every year.

But if you are looking for a cheap alternative to prom dress shopping, think again. One couple shelled out about $250 for about 40 rolls to complete their outfits. Expect to put in long hours of labor to make the outfits perfect. Former entrants say that their creations weren't the most comfortable things either. But it is something they were proud of and wouldn't change.

If the whole duct tape dress isn't your thing, you can enter in an honorable mention category. The best purses, jewelry, etc. are categories that each will receive a monetary prize.
