A mother is in distress after her 1-year-old son passed away while in the care of her boyfriend. Ivan Rose was killed by head trauma allegedly caused by Clarissa Rose's boyfriend while Rose was at work. The man is currently being head by a $1.5 million dollar bond. 

Ivan died four days after he was found with severe head trauma on Jan. 31. The city of Naples, Fla., where Ivan's mother and her boyfriend lived, were shocked by this tragic tale.

Police were called to the scene when Clarissa Rose returned home after work at approximately 6 p.m. on that fateful Friday evening. Rose found her son unresponsive after leaving her boyfriend to care for the 1-year-old son. After four days of fighting for his young life, Ivan Rose eventually passed away under the care of the octors and nurses of Joe DiMaggio's Children's Hospital in Hollywood on February 4.

The boyfriend,  Niklaus Booska, now faces manslaughter charges and remains in jail under a $1.5 million bond.
