Mandee’s Top 5 Bites in Tyler — Appetizers
Monday night the boyfriend and I were eating a delicious dinner out, when he mentioned that the appetizer we were enjoying might be the 'best bite in Tyler.' So I decided to take his idea and run with it. Here's my top five bites - appetizers only.
- 1
Oliveto's Bruschetta Sundae
Oliveto tops my list with their bruschetta sundae. Marinated tomatoes, olive oil, balsamic glaze, garlic, fresh basil & asiago, w/ artisan bread.
- 2
Shogun's Salmon Sashimi
Whenever I eat sushi at Shogun's it's always great, but their delicious fresh raw salmon sashimi is hard to top.
- 3
Bernard's Tapenade
The olive tapenade at Bernard's Mediterranean Restaurant isn't even on the menu, but served with rolls before each meal. If I don't eat it all, I usually get a small to go cup with rolls and bring the rest home.
- 4
Clear Springs' Shrimp Wontons
This is a staple order for me at Clear Springs - 5 shrimp wontons. Jumbo shrimp with mixed cheeses, bacon and serrano peppers. Deep fried and served with cherry mustard sauce.
- 5
Rick's Crawfish Beignets
The beignet is made with crawfish tail meat and angel hair pasta, seasoned & deep-fried. served with chipotle dipping sauce, and fantastic.
