Friday, Jan. 13, kicks off a new lectures series at the Library from the Smith County Master Gardeners. The first lecture topic is titled “Winter Sowing.”

This lecture will compliment the library’s seed catalog, which is a popular circulating collection at the Library. All lectures are free, open to the public, start at 11:30 a.m. and are held in the Library’s Taylor Auditorium. A complete list of the lectures being presented are listed below.

• Jan. 13: “Winter Sowing” with Trish Whitinger
• Feb. 10: “The Rose Rustlers” with Greg Grant
• March 10: “Azaleas” with Keith Hansen
• April 21: “Garden Flower Arranging” with Neysa Mueller
