‘Meals On Wheels’ Delivers More Than Meals These Days [VIDEO]

"House calls" may not be a thing of the past! Local pharmacists in East Texas are volunteering their time to make "house calls" to Meals on Wheels recipients, in order to administer flu shots to the elderly. Many seniors are at high risk of getting the flu and in some cases pneumonia and ending up in the hospital.This is the first time that the organization "Meals On Wheels" and volunteer Pharmacists have offered their clients the flu shot, but hope the program continues to grow.

For the rest of us, getting a flu shot is a good idea. The flu is highly contagious and can lead to more serious problems.  So be on the safe side, and get that flu shot today!
