Weatherford, Texas police officer Tiffany Vanzant was on patrol Sunday night, February 26, and caught on her in-car video camera a meteor entering the atmosphere. This one reportedly even broke the sound barrier.

American Meteor Society Operations Manager Mike Hankey told the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal they had received calls of doors and windows rattling at people's homes. He also believes the meteor landed between 50 to 100 miles Southeast of Lubbock.

Another report on the American Meteor Society from Jayton, Texas said a couple was on their porch and the flash of light from the meteor allowed them to see as if it was daytime.

Weatherford police also posted the video on Facebook and reassured residents that "no space aliens were hurt in the making of this video!"
