Miranda Lambert knows she can't adopt all of the dogs, so she organizes events like the MuttNation March, so others can take them home instead. The inaugural event took place during CMA Fest 2017 and was an enormous success, with several dozen pups finding forever families.

Lambert and nearly 1,000 people marched from Nashville's Nissan Stadium to the Chevrolet Walk of Fame Park downtown, creating a moving mass of pink and fur as they crossed the pedestrian bridge. About 120 dogs participated in the march, which ended with an adoption drive, the puppy corral, a photo booth and the MuttNation mobile unit.

Watch Miranda Lambert Talk About Her MuttNation Drive

Before her set at the 2017 Taste of Country Music Festival on Saturday (June 10), Lambert talked about the march and who stops her from adopting 20 dogs. She's an expert at self-restraint, it seems.

"I’ve put myself on restriction because I have seven dogs and four rescuer kitties," she admits. "I’m at my limit right now."

The "Tin Man" singer's love of animals is well-known, and her work nationwide with her MuttNation Foundation has led to the adoption of hundreds of dogs. She started the charity with her mother Bev Lambert in 2009. Anyone who missed this event can still participate through June 19. Visit the MuttNation Foundation website to enter to win an opportunity to work with the singer to make over an animal shelter in need.
