So I turned on the debate last night between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. I did not watch all of it. Why? Because these "debates" are turning more into toddler tantrums then presenting solutions to our country's problems.

I am very aware that the president is no more than a figure head but is the voice of our nation. Candidates can present plan after plan after plan but if they can not get Congress behind them, nothing will happen.

Last night, I saw what has continued to be an annoying, and frankly disrespectful, trend in these "debates". Neither candidate will answer the question that is given them. The questions are not difficult. Moderator - "What will you do about taxes?" Candidate 1 - "My opponent is a liar!" Candidate 2 - "That is not true!" Candidate 1 - "You see, my opponent is lying!" Moderator - "Excuse me, but my ques..." Candidate 1 - "Shut up moderator. My opponent is a liar!"

Which brings me to another point. These so called moderators are absolutely useless. A moderator is there to keep the debaters on point. I have not yet seen one moderator that has been willing to interrupt the toddler fight and get things back in the right direction.

Something new this year, or at least that I've noticed, is this whole "fact checking" thing the news people keep talking about. Honestly, the simple fact that we need fact checkers proves to me that the candidates are not doing their homework and saying whatever they want to make them sound good. Ummmm, this is not American Idol. We want to vote for you because we trust you.

I found last night to be completely uninformative and didn't hear any solutions or plans for solutions to improve this country.

It's sad when I'm more behind a fictional character than the real people in this election. (If you have not seen Archer on FX, watch it, just not with the kids around.)

I am no political genius, and will never claim to be, this is just my opinion like we all have. I am just sad, disgusted, worried and upset. Is This really what we have to choose from? Ugh!
