In a live Facebook video on Tuesday (May 2), Chris Young revealed that a new single off an upcoming new album is set to be released in 10 days — on May 12. The track is titled "Losing Sleep" and was co-written with frequent collaborators Chris DeStefano ("Aw Naw") and Josh Hoge ("Think of You," "I'm Comin' Over").

Young also shares with fans that he's been working on a new record with accomplished songwriter and producer Corey Crowder. The country star will be very active on social media over the next week, teasing audio and releasing photos and videos relating to the new project.

May 2 also marks the 11 year anniversary of Young winning Nashville Star and signing to RCA Records Nashville, which remains his label home. The star says the new album features some "really cool stuff," adding that some of the songs are "a little more stripped."

"Everything has its own slot on the record," he describes. "I really think you guys are going to be excited to hear it."

He will have plenty of opportunity to showcase his new music, seeing as he is opening for Jason Aldean on the massive 2017 They Don’t Know Tour, which kicked off April 27 in Toledo, Ohio, and continues through the fall. Kane Brown and Dee Jay Silver also join Young as supporting acts on the road.

A release date for Young's new album has not been shared.
