Open Auditions Coming Up for Texas Renaissance Festival

The Texas Renaissance Festival...one of my favorite destinations every Fall.  From Ded Bob to jousting to the wandering minstrels, I absolutely love the atmosphere.  I have often wondered how someone becomes one of the characters or performing acts at the Ren Fest. 

Well, now I know.

A series of open auditions is held every year for those wanting to be a part of the festival.  Whether your talent lies in music, storytelling, magic, or just playing the part of a period character, your chance to impress is just around the corner.

On May 2nd and May 9th, auditions will be held at the Texas Renaissance Festival grounds in Todd Mission, Texas on FM 1774.  There will be a morning and afternoon session on both days.  The sessions will be split into auditions for specialty acts and characters.  Performers must schedule an appointment in order to audition.
