Patrick Ivison was barely a year old when a car accidentally backed over him, leaving him paralyzed from the waist down. But as he grew up, he was able to surf competitively, kayak and even play rugby. And although through that entire time he couldn't walk, he made a promise he would do so at his high school graduation.

Seventeen years after he was permanently injured -- he was walking with his mother when a car backed over him, damaging his spinal cord -- Ivison fulfilled his promise. He went through grueling times of physical therapy to build strength in his legs and learn how to stay coordinated on his feet.

The rest of the story ... well, you'll just have to see it for yourself. After you watch, you'll never want to utter the words, "I can't," ever again.
