Hundreds of gently used and new coats were donated to PATH throughout the month of October to Smith County dry cleaners for PATH’s Coats For Kids campaign.  Those donated coats have all been cleaned by area dry cleaners and turned over to PATH and now it’s time to distribute them!

For a child to receive a coat, parents must be prepared to show the following:

current photo id of themselves

proof of residencey in Smith County (official document with current address such as a utility bill or government document)

id of each child receiving a coat (birth certificate, school id, social security card, report card)

Parents can get a coat for free for each of their children, while they last on the following days:

Saturday, November 19th from 8a – 2p

Sunday, November 20th from 1p – 4p

Coats can picked up at 2235 W. Gentry Parkway in Tyler (near Caldwell Zoo)

Becky Duncan and PATH hold this special coat drive each October because every child here in East Texas deserves to be warm during the cold weather season.  Whether they are an infant or 18 years old every one of them deserve to be kept warm.

PATH would like to thank the following participating dry cleaners:

Dry Clean Super Center, Eagle Cleaners, Hart’s Cleaners, VIP Cleaners, Lucky’s Cleaners, Regency Cleaners, Shannon’s Cleaners, The Cleaning Company, West Gentry Dry Cleaners and Lindale Cleaners.

Thanks to generous East Texans, supporters and donors – PATH has an ample supple of coats for children in Smith County this year.
