Pest control workers were working at an apartment complex in Hot Springs, Arkansas, trying to get rid of a squirrel problem.

Using a pellet rifle, a pest worker shot at the rodent, and missed. The squirrel ran toward a school that was nearby.

The pest eradicators gave chase of the twitchy tailed mongrel armed with their pellet rifles.

The school that was in the path of the escaping squirrel is Gardner Primary School.

A teacher noticed these men giving chase and activated the school's alarm, sending it into lockdown.

Police were contacted and arrived at the scene, with a SWAT team in tow.

Police investigated and learned of the pest control situation and gave the all clear.

No word on if the slippery squirrel was caught.
