Pets Fur People, formerly the Humane Society of East Texas, has partnered with Northshore Animal League, the world's largest no kill organization. for their 13th "Tour For Life" campaign.   The Northshore Animal League is bringing their adoption bus to Tyler to help Pets Fur People, in a giant adopt-a-thon, this Sunday, April 7. The event will be at Walmart on South Broadway in Tyler from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The "Tour For Life" is a cross-country tour, that promotes shelter awareness and increase pet adoptions. The Northshore Animal league provides a "shelter on wheels" to transport animals first-class to the events. Last year, the "Tour For Life" saved over 1,600 lives across the country.

Of course we hope that every animal will find a home. If you are considering adopting a loving pet, this would be a great time to do so. Pets Fur People in Tyler, was selected as one of only 57 animal shelters across the country to host  this event. Keep in mind, that this is a great opportunity for Pets Fur People, to work with the largest and most prestigious no-kill organization to raise awareness for our local no-kill sanctuary.

I personally know the hard working and devoted Executive Director for Pets Fur People, Gayle Helms, and I can tell you that East Texas is so blessed to have her.

This Sunday should be a great time, so plan to stop by the Wal-Mart on South Broadway and possibly find that pet you've been looking for! For those of you who just aren't able to adopt, please consider donating to Pets Fur Friends.
