Phil Robertson Gives ‘Miss Kay’ a Wedding Ring After 47 Years of Marriage
Despite the controversy swirling around Phil Robertson of “Duck Dynasty,” he managed to buy his wife, "Miss Kay," a wedding ring for Christmas. This is according to granddaughter Sadie Robertson's tweet!
The gift for his wife of 47 years comes at a stressful time for the family and the indefinite suspension of Robertson from the show because of his anti-gay comments.
The picture Sadie Robertson tweeted shows Phil pointing to the new ring he just got his wife. Miss Kay is in her Christmas red shirt and Robertson in his camo, of course!
According to ABC News, the Rev. Jesse Jackson has decided to comment on Robertson's anti-gay and racial comments:
“These statements uttered by Robertson are more offensive than the bus driver in Montgomery, Alabama, more than 59 years ago. At least the bus driver, who ordered Rosa Parks to surrender her seat to a white person, was following state law. Robertson’s statements were uttered freely and openly without cover of the law, within a context of what he seemed to believe was ‘white privilege.’”
Despite the urging of Jackson and others, Robertson says:
“I will not give or back off from my path.”
Do you feel Robertson should apologize?
