Randy Travis Arrested Near Dallas for Public Intoxication [UPDATED]

Country music star Randy Travis was arrested early this morning in front of a Metroplex-area Baptist church.

According to TMZ and the Denton County records website, Travis was arrested for public intoxication after cops spotted him drinking a bottle of wine in front of First Baptist Church of Sanger.

The legendary singer was booked about 1:30 a.m. and released shortly after being cited.

Travis issued an apology in a statement to the Associated Press, "for what resulted following an evening of celebrating the Super Bowl."

Travis announced last week his 25th Anniversary Tour, in which he'll make a stop at Billy Bob's in Fort Worth.

Do have to say, though, that's a pretty awesome mugshot, Randy.
