Rangers vs Tigers – Game 2 Postponed
The 2nd game of the ALCS was postponed Sunday due to rain. The Texas Rangers won game 1 of the series on Saturday night over the Detroit Tigers by a score of 3-2, a game that saw two different rain delays. One delay was 41 minutes and the other was 1:09. With more rain forecast for Sunday night, officials felt it best to reschedule the game for Monday. This means the teams travel day will be interrupted and they will play 4 straight games without a break. More after the jump.

The Associated Press released a quote from Rangers President, Nolan Ryan:
We felt with the forecast that we had that we didn’t want to experience what we did last night. … With the forecast for this evening, it appears that it’s going to be a duplication of what we saw. The one thing we’re concerned about is the integrity of the game and not put either team in a situation where there is a possibility the elements could affect the outcome of the game.
Game 2 of the series is now scheduled for a 3:19pm first pitch on Monday at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.
