Remember When East Texas Man Used a Yard Sign to Find His Soulmate?

Since it's Valentine's Day, I'm going to try to look out for one of my buddies. Last June in 2016, Gunny Moore of Whitehouse, Texas put up a sign on his front lawn. No, it had nothing to do with politics and no, it wasn't for a garage sale. Him and his friends thought it would be funny to essentially put out an ad for the single females of East Texas on Facebook. It worked. And it also didn't work.

The post was covered by all kinds of local media and it was shared over 5,500 times on Facebook! Comments started rolling in and friends were receiving messages on how to contact Gunny Moore. He even received marriage proposals!

So, Gunny went on a handful of dates but he is still single because he hasn't found the one yet.

Gunny told me he isn't looking for a Barbie of sorts.

"I know I'm not perfect. But I'm looking for perfect for me," he said.

So if you had your heart set out on a date with Gunny last June, here's your second chance! His interests, in my opinion, are Texan with a bold, capital 'T'.

And that's what he's looking for ladies (and gentlemen who know single ladies). Someone who can appreciate the same things he does. Riding the motorcycle, fishing, lakes and boats, good food. He prefers non-smokers and likes a girl who's comfortable barefoot in the pool. It's all about sharing the same kind of lifestyle, because compatibility is what's most important in a relationship.
