Rita Ballou joins Radio Texas, LIVE! each week to keep us up to date on all the happenings in the Texas and Red Dirt Music scene. This week she had the dirt on Roger Creager's power outage, the new Whiskey Myers video, William Clark Green's new album, plus more.

Hear the dirt here:

Power? We Don't Need No Stinkin' Power!

This was very cool! Last week, a scary thunderstorm blew through Luckenbach just as Roger Creager was starting his set and it knocked out all power…but that didn’t seem to stop the crowd. The fans took over and sang for Creager! I thought this was a great rock star moment.

Whiskey Myers is Out with a NEW Video.

What a beautifully shot video from the guys! But I of course gotta couple questions …in the video, was the girl a working girl? She wasn’t the real Virginia was she? How creepy would it be to go home with a dude you met at the bar to get it on and he before the action starts he hands you a scary crumpled up brown paper Piggly Wiggly sack full of another chick’s clothes to put on. Serial Killer much? Girrrrrrl, you better run. He totally killed the real Virginia. I bet her body is in the crawlspace.

Jon Wolfe's Booty Call.

Jon Wolfe and his denim jean jacket are back with a brand new video. This tune tells the classic tale of the “Booty Call”… and Damn, it’s country. I like it. As far as the video goes, it was pretty standard, but it works. I am not sure if Jon Wolfe was dreaming about the little booty rendezvous or if it really occurred.

William Clark Green and the Rose Queen.

Everyone is all a buzz about the new album from the reigning TRRMA New Male Vocalist of the Year, William Clark Green album and for good reason too…it is great. I especially like the cover art. I love anything with a tiara.

The first single off the new album is slated to be “She Likes The Beatles” which was co-written by Brian Keane and produced by Rachel Loy. That’s right…a girl. She’s kind of a big deal.
