In 2012, I had the opportunity to travel to Italy. After a few days in both Venice and Florence, I then took a train to Rome.

Rome is ancient. It's the most curious experience to stand next the Coloseum and see modern cars and scooters blow past it. It's amazing how well preserved the antiquities are. You still see flowers on the alter of Caesar daily at the Roman Forum. All three cities were a mind blowing experience for me, but Rome had so much to see I couldn't take it all in fast enough.

The food, the people, the weather - everything was magical. I just wanted more time to take it all in. I definitely want to return, and absolutely threw a coin over my shoulder with that wish into the Trevi Fountain.

Most of these photos were made with my Canon Rebel, but some were taken with an iPhone. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do. They are set to part of Italian composer Antonio Vivaldi’s Concerto No. 2 in G minor, Op. 8, RV 315, "L'estate" (Summer) from The Four Seasons.
