Rodney Atkins and Scotty McCreery will help lead Santa’s sleigh through the streets of New York City on Thanksgiving morning. The 85th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade lineup includes the two country stars, as well as pop artists like Neil Diamond, Cee-Lo Green and Avril Lavigne.

Atkins jokes that he’s more than willing to make the sacrifices necessary to get to the Big Apple on Nov. 24. “Everyone knows on Thanksgiving morning to get up, turn on the TV and watch the parade,” he said in a press release. “So to be an actual participant is going to be fun, and I’m looking forward to it. I am gonna have to put on my deer hunting gear though to stay warm!”

McCreery will also captain a float headed to Herald Square. He’ll be an experienced waver by then, having appeared as the Grand Marshall of the Raleigh Christmas Parade on Nov. 19 and his own ‘American Idol’ hometown parade last May. Each artist will also perform as part of the fun, with Atkins scheduled to deliver a version of ‘Take a Back Road’ to his chilly fans. For those who aren’t in the New York area, the parade airs at 9AM ET on NBC.
