In 2012, with their third album "Goodbye Normal Street" in tow, the Turnpike Troubadours established themselves as a premiere band in the Texas/Red Dirt scene. As proof "Goodbye Normal Street" was the No. 1 selling album of the year at Lone Star Music.

A feat that was aided by a few monster radio singles. This week one of them "Gin, Smoke Lies" has our RTX Sunday Video. And while it's not quite as sexy, they also landed in my own Top 10 Totally Awesome Songs of 2012, with "Good Lord Lorrie."
