American Idol's country crooner Scotty McCreery went with 'I Cross My Heart' by George Strait, which appeared in the film 'Pure Country,' on last night's episode, where the contestants performed songs from films. Scott brought it again and hopefully he made the cut again this week. More after the jump.

In his pre-performance mentoring session, Interscope’s Jimmy Iovine told McCreery that he could sing the phone book and make it sound good. The label boss is right on with that assessment.

As the week’s wind down, the possibility of Scotty McCreery taking the ‘American Idol’ crown seems like a distinct and very reality possibility.

It seems everybody, as Randy Jackson puts it,  is 'in it, to win it.' Casey Abrams really had a 'cool vibe' with his rendition of Nat King Cole's 'Nature Boy.' Yes, with his bass and all. Jacob Lusk was in rare form with 'Bridge Over Troubled Waters.' He truly has a gift from God.

This year has the most talented young singers from all different genres. Who will be voted off? It's anyone's game! Personally,  I like 'em all!
