Second Arrest Made in 2012 Smith County Murder Case

Horacio Gurrusquieta, 33, turned himself into Dallas County authorities Thursday after a murder warrant for his arrest was issued out of Tyler.

Horacio is the second suspect to be charged with the June 3, 2012 shooting death of Jose Alfredo Sanchez. Horacio is the nephew of Natalio Gurrusquieta, who was arrested March 18 by Smith County Detectives and agents from U.S. Homeland Security.
The homicide took place at house on County Road 37 in Smith County. Two other people suffered gunshot wounds during the incident.
