For the second time in less than a week, an East Texas school district has announced that they will allow "certain school employees and other persons" to carry authorized firearms on school campuses.

Van ISD released a statement today that specific employees will be allowed to carry "certain" firearms on school property including school sanctioned events and even board meetings.

This move makes Van ISD the third school district in Texas to allow guns on campus. As we reported a few days ago, Union Grove ISD approved a similar measure.
