Select week one high school football games will be televised this season according to KLTV.

The UIL has granted a deal with Fox Sports networks to air two week one games. The hope is to have a 3 A or 4 A game aired followed by a 6 A game.

During the televised games, there will also be cut ins featuring highlights of other games that are currently in progress.

This will include schools across the state but at some point the hope is to have an East Texas selected.

The decision of which games will be televised will be decided by Fox Sports, the Texas High School Coaches Association, the Texas Athletic Directors Association and the UIL.

This is a pretty cool deal for our high school athletes.
