Should No. 3 Be Retired in NASCAR? [POLL]

The No. 3 car belonged to Dale Earnhardt Sr. from the 1984 season until his death in 2001, but the car is making an appearance this season as a regular racing car. However, it’s not Dale Jr. who is driving it.

The No. 3 car is to be driven by Austin Dillon, the 23-year-old grandson of Richard Childress. Dillon has been driving the No. 3 for years in the NASCAR circulation, from the Craftsman Truck Series to the Nationwide Series – where he won the championship last season.

But as he makes his move up to the Sprint Cup Series, Dillon will be keeping the No. 3. Childress has owned the rights to the number since before Earnhardt’s death, and believes that his grandson can do the legendary number justice. Dillon has already secured the poll position for the Daytona 500 on Feb. 23 alongside his teammate Martin Truex Jr.

But we want to know, do you agree with Dillon driving the No. 3 at the Sprint Cup level?
