The Smith County Courthouse in Downtown Tyler has been reopened to employees after a bomb threat was called in early Wednesday afternoon.

According to a report by KLTV, Smith County judge Joel Baker said someone called the county clerk's office and said a bomb was going to go off in 20 minutes.

The courthouse, courthouse annex building and Regions Bank were all evacuated. Officials did a sweep of the building and found nothing.

Officials are currently investigating whether this bomb threat was connected to bomb threats at three East Texas school districts.
