One of the things I love about walking my dog at Rose Rudman Park in Tyler is coming across these amazing little gestures along the path. For a while in 2017, it was painted rocks from Tyler, Texas Rocks. Then I saw a few scarves with notes on them reading: "I am not lost. If you need me, please take me. Stay Warm! Seasons Greetings!"

We posted a story earlier about how some cities have scarves tied around trees for the homeless people to use when it gets really cold. Well, it's getting really cold in East Texas so a few people decided to try and spread the warmth.

On top of the scarves, there was another really sweet gesture found on the path. Basically a pile of stuff that passersby can either add to or leave alone. At first I thought why is there a bunch of junk here, but realized people probably don't have $100 bills in their pockets while walking around the park. Really, it's the thought that counts here. I even saw what looked like a house key!

At the end of the day, it's the thought that counts. I'm not sure why this shrine-ish thing popped up on the trail though. Maybe you know someone who set it up or passed by it?
