School Has Student Write Suicide Note — Creative Writing or Bad Taste?

In what may be one of the most irresponsible things a school could ever do, a student was told to write a "suicide note" as if he had a terminal disease and just a few hours to live. When he showed his mother, Viki Walker her reaction was, well expected.

"I felt I was going to find him hanging from his bed, I found it sick." Here's the letter he wrote:

Apparently the 14 year old handed her the note and went straight to bed. He didn't see anything wrong with it, telling the BBC he thought it was "normal" seeing how it was for a creative writing class.

A spokesperson for the school said the exercise was part of an "expressive art" lesson. Read more about the story here.
