Suspect in Shreveport Police Officer Killing is Captured

According to a report in the Shreveport Times, Grover D. Cannon, the man wanted in connection with the killing of a police officer, has been captured. 

Multiple tips led police to believe that Cannon was located near the 3800 block of Jackson Street in Shreveport.  After extensive searches, Cannon was taken into custody.

Cannon is a suspect in the fatal shooting of Shreveport Police Officer Thomas LaValley.  The shooting occurred around 9 Wednesday evening as LaValley was responding to a disturbance call.
