More than 100 stolen items have been recovered by Wood County Deputies resulting in the arrest of two people including one juvenile.

While investigating a burglary in the Holiday Village Resort Community on Hwy. 154 near Lake Fork on Monday, Wood County Sheriff Deputies received information providing possible suspects and the possible location of the stolen items. After further investigation Sgt. Jayson Farmer, Deputy Chris Turner, and Reserve Deputy Howard Castleberry III went to separate places where they recovered the stolen items. Two white male suspects were taken into custody in the Holiday Village Resort Subdivision for burglary of habitation, 18 year old Davey Cole Hall-Carroll of Quitman and a 15 year juvenile also of Quitman whose name can’t be released.

Wood County investigators advised that they have returned property and cleared up 12 separate cases so far. Investigators anticipate more to come forward to make a report that may not have discovered they’re property missing yet. It is unknown how many homes and vehicles were burglarized during the episode, but the suspects admitted to 15 to 25.  Items stolen ranged from guns, golf carts, laptops, fish finders, Nikon camera, Garmin GPS and lots of other property. Davey Cole Hall Carroll is in Wood County Jail on Burglary of Habitation a 2nd Degree Felony with a $25,000.00 bond with more charges pending.
