Tissue Alert: Beagles See Sun and Grass for the First Time After a Life in a Laboratory

Seventy two adorable beagles between the ages of 4 and 7 were no longer needed for the laboratory testing at a California University. A rescue group, Animal Rescue Media Education (ARME) came to rehabilitate these canines. ARME spokes person told NBC that these dogs had lived in a cage all of their lives and had never seen grass nor sunlight. An Ohio man who owned an exotic animal farm released his animals to the wild and then committed suicide on Tuesday, according to police.

Farm owner Terry Thompson was found dead in his home near Columbus, OH by the sheriff’s deputies, who say his body had been disturbed by animals. Authorities will not comment on how Thompson killed himself.
