The month of October is dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness, and I've been sharing stories, facts and information to get the word out. This year alone, breast cancer is estimated to affect 230,480 women and 2,140 men. Deaths are estimated at 39,520 for women and 450 for men. These are alarming numbers. But as I say, knowledge is power! So, this month I encourage you to make a pledge to take at least one step to educate your self on this deadly disease.

To help support National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, country star Keith Urban is donating a customized Fender guitar to an auction benefiting the Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation.

Bidding for the guitar, which is black and adorned with a pink ribbon, will start at the end of October, after Urban has played it at each of this month’s shows.
