Radio Texas Live host Buddy Logan will be cruising it next week on the FFriends of Habitat of Humanity cruise." Ports of call will be Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Jamaica. I'll be here holding down the fort -- what's wrong with this picture? Oh well, Buddy works hard and he deserves some R&R. But I've made it my duty to give Buddy a 'to-do' list for his travels. These are things I think he should do to get the most out his cruising experience. Bon Voyage, Buddy!
Nominate KNUE and Buddy Logan For a TRRMA by Midnight
Last year Buddy Logan finished in the Top 5 for TRRMA On-Air Personality of the year in Texas and this year we'd like to get him back to the Top 5 again and get KNUE state-wide recognition as the best radio station. But to do it, we're going to need your help. Click here to register with The Texas Regional Radio Music Awards, it only takes a couple minutes and they promise not to spam (however they do have to be able to keep track of all voters.) And once you register you'll be able to nominate Buddy, KNUE and all your favorite Texas and Red Dirt bands and musicians in a multitude of categories -- then just tell all your friends to do the same and that's it (until it's time to start voting that is.)

Tonight at Villa Di Felicita in Tyler, a very special event for East Texas wounded warriors - 'Country For Our Country.' This is a celebration -- honoring those who have fought for our freedom. This prestigious event is a great night of excellent entertainment, food, auctions, patriotism and mingling. This year the headliner is "CMA Female Artist of the Year," Sara Evans -- opening for Sara is a fan favorite Derek Sholl and Chase and The New South.

For some reason I've got a friend who is training for a marathon. I know, CRAZY! But he is. Anyway, I saw this video on Comedy Central's Tosh.O, which by the way is Comedy Central's highest rated show -anyways I thought it deserved to be shared with my crazy friend so I put it on his facebook then I thought you'd like to see it too so I made it this week's Buddy Logan's Funny Friday Video!

Everything is bigger and better in Texas! JB & The Moonshine Band set the stage on fire with a once in a lifetime performance. KNUE listeners started off their Independence Day weekend with a BANG! True to character the JBMB paid tribute to their Tyler fans and made this July 1st not one to be forgotten. Texas Regional Radio had there first annual music awards show this past weekend in Arlington, Texas.
Congratulations to The Josh Abbott Band who won Song of the Year, Single of the Year, Album of the Year and Video of the Year. Of course East Texas native and favorite, Kasey Musgrave was on almost every song of the album!

When The Texas Rangers acquired third baseman Adrian Beltre from The Red Sox in the off season it left many Ranger fans and Michael Young wondering what his role with the team would be.
It even led to Young asking to be traded at one point. But it looks like the very popular All Star will be playing his ball games this year in Arli
