Looks like a lot of people around the country were eating more chicken yesterday. (I'm sure that made the cows happy!) Chick-fil-A's "Appreciation Day" was a huge success. It definitely was in Tyler, because I saw the long line of cars stretching to "forever" down South Broadway and Troup Highway.
The long lines today at Chick-fil-A in Tyler is the scene occurring across the country as people are showing up in droves to support the restaurant after the company was criticized for an executive’s comments about gay marriage.
The controversy continues in Chick-fil-A land. Amid a heated national debate over Chick-fil-A's stance on gay marriage, now a Chicago official has pledged to block the fast food chain from opening in his district.
Would you believe I was actually already planning on getting a Spicy Chicken Sandwich for dinner tonight? But once I found out Chick-fil-A was donating 15% of all proceeds to Smith County Relay for Life I thought I should invite all of East Texas to join me.
