Loretta Lynn is known as the woman of country music. There is no doubt about it, she is the Queen! Born Loretta Webb on April 14, 1934 in Butcher Hollow, Ky., Lynn grew up in a small cabin in a poor Appalachian coal mining community. The second of eight children, Lynn began singing in church at a young age. Her younger sister Brenda Gayle Webb also later become a singer, performing as Crystal Gayle.

The group Sawyer Brown started in 1981 with five guys from Apopka, Florida. These guys were considered country pop until the year 1991, when they decided to to take a more serious approach to their music, adding ballads to their repertoire. That sdame year the band dropped their label Capitol, and signing with Curb records. Well the change worked, because Sawyer Brown was on their way to being a huge success.

Diamond Rio is one of the best groups to come out of the 90's! With harmony like nobody's business. I was listening to John Moore on the KNUE "Gold Rush" show this past Saturday, and I heard Diamond Rio's "Meet In The Middle," and it just brought up so many great memories. Guess that's why I never miss the KNUE "Gold Rush" show every Saturday morning from 8am-10am. It gives me a smile! Catch the "Gold Rush" sometime, and enjoy the memories!
