Yesterday afternoon KNUE got word of a big Country show coming to Shreveport in October.  Unfortunately, the promoters put a gag order on us as fast as we got confirmation the concert was set.  We can't reveal who's playing until 8am Monday.  So let's see if you can figure it out with some helpful hints!

A few thousand people gathered outside on Lower Broadway in Nashville on Friday night to help Keith Urban promote his new CD, FUSE and the crowd went crazy when Aerosmith's Steven Tyler jumped on stage at Toosie's to help him sing a few crowd favorites.

Miranda Lambert has released her latest video, "All Kinds of Kinds," from her award winning album "Four The Record." This is her fifth single off the LP. The video features scenes from some of her live performances, and shows people holding signs that say what "kind of kind" they are.

It was a sad day for country music, with the passing yesterday of Slim Whitman. Slim Whitman died of heart failure at his home in Florida at the age of 90.

Hunter Hayes is my choice for this weeks KNUE 'Artist Spotlight.' Not only is he the most talented 21 year old, he is darn cute! I'm sure his label, Atlantic Records, rejoices everyday that they snagged this talented young man.

Fresh off his Academy of Country Music "Entertainer of the Year" award, Luke Bryan is the hottest ticket going in country music today! If you watched the ACM's a few weeks ago, you saw how blown away Luke was to receive the award and his speech was very emotional.

Miley Cyrus recently released the video "Jolene." Yes, that "Jolene". The brillant song was a huge hit for the great Dolly Parton back in 1974. I have to admit, Miley does it proud! Little did I know, but Dolly just happens to be Miley's godmother.

This week, I've decided to spotlight country superstar - Kenny Chesney. I remember when Kenny released his first album In "My Wildest Dreams" in 1994. KNUE was one of the first country stations to spin his single "Tin Man."

Las Vegas went country last night as Nashville arrived for the American Country Awards at the beautiful Mandalay Bay Events Center. Luke Bryan was the big winner last night on the sweeping the show with a staggering nine awards -- that's guitars. The awards this year were actual guitars.

I love the feeling that Christmas time brings. It's the time of year even the crabbiest folks seem nicer. It also has some of the most beautiful and fun music. Just hearing Christmas music can instantly put me in a good mood. At my house, you'll hear me listening to my favorite Christmas tunes while trimming the tree, or wrapping those presents.
