Texas's own Eli Young Band have not only their first platinum and #1 single in "Crazy Girl" but also the #1 country song of the entire year according to Billboard, above guys named Dierks, Kenny and Blake. EYB's hard work, perseverance and talent is finally paying off. Congrats to the Denton based band, it couldn't happen to a nicer group of guys. Lead singer Mike Eli called into Radio Texas Live earlier this year, before "Crazy Girl" was certified platinum and before it was the number 1 song of the year -- a call that turned out to be somewhat prophetic, check it out.

The Eli Young Band has been making waves here in Texas for the last 10+ years, well now after all that time, they have become one of the top country groups across the country. With the level of success Eli Young Band (EYB) has experienced the past 2 years it should come as no surprise the band from Denton, Texas has yet again struck gold. The video for their Valentine's Day release 'Crazy Girl' is all ready the top video at CMT.
