Now this is a concert I have been waiting and campaigning for for a couple of years and I'm stoked it's finally happening. Adam Hood is one of my favorite singer/songwriters and if he's not one of yours, time to fix it. He may call Kentucky home but did you know Chris Knight is an official honorary Texan? Well he is. Governor Rick Perry says so. Knight's even got the papers that say he's as Texan as an Kentuckian can get, which he apparently carries with him for when he gets stopped by Texas police. This coming Wednesday (Feb 22) the Dancin' and Drinkin' at Johnson/Park Tour makes it's way to Electric Cowboy, that's both Kyle Park and Cody Johnson on one night, on one stage! Rich O'Toole will be live this Wednesday at Electric Cowboy, buy your tickets here and he called into Radio Texas Live last week and we discussed his very first single (out of 10) NOT to crack the Texas Top 10 "Marijuana and Jalapenos."
If you like traditional Country Music, guys like George Strait, Alan Jackson and Aaron Watson then Jon Wolfe is right in your wheelhouse. His music is just plain good and definitely country. Jon who has a cut on a certain Country star's new album will also be in concert this Wednesday at Electric Cowboy (buy your tickets here).
One of the best in the Texas/Red Dirt scene, Stoney Larue, made a return trip to Tyler on Wednesday and took some time to play on the KNUE 101.5 Front Porch in front of Country Club VIP winners.

After a long hiatus Whiskey Myers is making their return to Electric Cowboy tomorrow (Friday 1/13) night. The Tyler natives who have built a huge following in their home town of Tyler based in part on their early shows at EC have not played there in over 2 years. The guys, who have stayed busy playing shows across Texas, Oklahoma and going on cruises with AC/DC released their sophomore album last April -- "Firewater" which is an awesome example of Southern Rock and if you don't have it get it.
One of my favorite Texas singer/songwriters Kyle Bennett is coming back to Electric Cowboy tonight.

Zack Walther is back in Tyler tonight at Electric Cowboy. His most recent single "Tonight (The Night Of Our Lives)" off the album "Into The Fray" saw quite a bit of Texas airplay in 2011. Zack stopped by the studio last Summer and we talked a bit, one of the first things we discussed was his band's original name "Zack Walther & The Cronkites" who made a name for themselves in Texas because of much more than the clever name they made for themselves.
