A baby girl has officially joined Eli Young Band‘s brood. Frontman Mike Eli and his wife, Kacey, welcomed Kline Olivia Diaz on Monday (July 30) in Dallas. The little girl, who is the first child for the couple, weighed in at 6 lbs. and 15 oz. She was expected to arrive in August.
This week Denton, TX based Eli Young Band took their latest single "Even if it Breaks Your Heart" to No. 1 in both The U.S. and Canada. After taking over the Texas Music scene in the mid '00s, before breaking out nationally, it's so great to see the support EYB continues to receive right here in Texas. Something it seems other singers and bands have had trouble with when venturing out of the Lone Star State.
Hot on the heels of their previous hit single, ‘Crazy Girl,’ going gold, Eli Young Band are now moving on to celebrate another hit, which has topped the Canadian country singles chart. ‘Even if It Breaks Your Heart’ has become the band’s first No. 1 north of the U.S. border, and is also their second consecutive chart-topper in the States as of this week.

Eli Young Band have literally seen their career catapult onto center stage in the past few months. After their single ‘Crazy Girl’ became their first No.1 hit, the four-man country outfit snagged an ACM Award for Song of the Year with the same smash hit, making an underdog story to be remembered. But even in the face of so many great things at once, the guys are not about to forget who it was that helped them get to this point.

April 23, 2012 In case you hadn't figured it out by now, we at KNUE are huge supporters of the Eli Young Band. We've watched them go from four college guys playing small Texas bars to ACM Winners. So their continued success is no surprise to us.
