With a new year ushering in, I think back of all the great music in 2011. My favorite album has to be "Chief" from Eric Church. "Chief "was written in month while Eric took time off of touring to write. Eric hung out in a cabin in North Carolina with no phones, TV or any other distractions . Looks like the hard work and solitude paid off! Oh and he becane a daddy for the first time this year too!

I've got fantastic news, country legend Randy Travis has a new CD that will hit stores on June 7th! It's about time! On top of that, Randy has teamed up with Cracker Barrel to help out our awesome military men and women!

GAC has joined with Cracker Barrel Old Country Stores and Randy Travis to help celebrate and honor our service men and women. Randy recently released a collection of some of his award-winning hits (plus 3 previously-unreleased songs) on a 12-track CD available exclusively at Cracker Barrel. Cracker Barrel will donate some of the proceeds of each Randy Travis CD sold, to the Wounded Warrior Project!

Don Henley, drummer and songwriter for country-rock superstars the Eagles, is reportedly in the studio working on a solo country album, reports Taste Of Country.

The Eagles are my all-time favorite group of any genre. I was lucky enough to see them in concert a few times, and was blown away by the talent in that group. So much talent, that each member went on to have a very successful solo career.
