Throughout the entire month of October Smith County residents and East Texans dropped off new and gently used coats at participating dry cleaners throughout Smith County to be cleaned and donated to PATH's Coats For Kids program where kids without a winter coat can receive one for free.

PATH’s annual Coats for Kids drive started October 1st and continues until the 31st.  Each October PATH holds this special drive to collect winter coats for children ages infant through 18 years old.  PATH is hoping to collect 2,000 coats for distribution in November.  More after the jump.

Hunger does not just exist "over there" -- every day in every community our neighbors are experiencing this devastating issue.  This month in East Texas we are supporting East Texas Food Bank Hunger Action Month. In just thirty days we could stomp out hunger by implementing the three action items below.
