Breaking news on the sports front this afternoon from CBS Sports. They are reporting that the Detroit Tigers have come to an agreement with Prince Fielder on a nine-year deal, worth an estimated $214 million.
After weeks of speculation, CBS Sports is reporting that starting pitcher Yu Darvish will sign a six-year contract with the Texas Rangers before today's 4 p.m. deadline. Sources tell CBS Sports the deal is likely to be for more than $52 million.

The 2nd game of the ALCS was postponed Sunday due to rain. The Texas Rangers won game 1 of the series on Saturday night over the Detroit Tigers by a score of 3-2, a game that saw two different rain delays. One delay was 41 minutes and the other was 1:09. With more rain forecast for Sunday night, officials felt it best to reschedule the game for Monday. This means the teams travel day will be interrupted and they will play 4 straight games without a break. More after the jump.
