Willie Nelson gave his fans a major scare over the weekend when he canceled his Saturday night gig. Reports quickly surfaced that he was hospitalized because he was having trouble breathing, but fear not! The iconic country singer is back on the road again and he’s as fit as a fiddle.
Country legend Willie Nelson was forced to cancel his planned performance at a fundraiser in Castle Pines Village in Colorado on Saturday, August 18. The tireless singer and pot proponent, 79, reportedly pulled out of his appearance due to health problems.

But once again, the legendary country icon surprised us by launching the first-ever Willie Nelson Celebrity Golf Tournament in Briarcliff, Texas, which will benefit the Pedernales Fire Department, the Helping Hands Crisis Ministry, the Children’s Music Foundation and the RunTex Foundation.
Only Willie Nelson could cover a Pearl Jam tune and make it sound darn close to better than the original. That’s what the iconic singer did with his version of ‘Just Breathe,’ which is included on his new ‘Heroes’ album. As an added bonus, the track features the guest vocals of the singer’s son, Lukas Nelson. As if you didn’t already love the song enough, the Nelsons released a beautiful music video for ‘Just Breathe’-and it’s kind of a tearjerker.
Dierks Bentley, Willie Nelson, the Civil Wars and Rosanne Cash are all set to perform at the second annual Johnny Cash Music Festival. The event is scheduled to take place on Friday, Oct. 5 in the Man in Black’s home state of Arkansas.
