It is a surprise to many in Henderson County that the nativity scene that sits on the courthouse lawn has caught the attention of a group from another state and that group has requested the county remove the nativity scene from in front of the courthouse.
Christmas is about caring for others, taking care of those in need and bringing smiles to children’s faces. As of right now that’s going to be a challenge to make one those things happen because a storage unit that housed all kinds of toys for East Texas foster children was broken into and the thieves made off with a variety of toys and electronics.
